AHK – The Credit Partner In Promoting Investments To Vietnam

The Delegate of the German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (GIC/AHK Vietnam) is a representative of the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) in the AHK network mentioned above and actively supports the economic exchange between Vietnam and Germany since 1993.

“Currently, there is 43 German Manufacturers in Vietnam of which 20 is currently land their factories in the South with diversified industries from textile, chemicals, metal processing, automobile, consumer goods…” said Mr Bjorn Koslowski, Deputy Chief Representative.

Most of German investors locate their plants 30 to 40 km around HCMC to attract talents, enjoy good infrastructure and optimize logistics cost.

The investment wave of European companies has increased by the growing number of enquiries who choose to either relocate or extend their plant due to the advantages of low labor cost, a liberalized regulatory framework, a huge FTA network, low CIT, sound investment policy and improved infrastructure. And, Long Hau is one of credit industrial parks that AHK chooses to refer to their clients.

 

To express the big gratitude on AHK’s great work, Long Hau has awarded the Medal of Honor on their Partner Day 2019. Long Hau aslo sent the sincere thanks in promoting and calling for investment projects to Long Hau Industrial Park over the years.

While Chemical investment is account for big proportion in manufacturing, there is a new facility of SurTec International - under Freudenberg Chemical Speciality Group with a history from 1849, as Germany's leading manufacturer in surface finishing chemical specialities, having representatives in over 26 countries. The plant is located closely to HCMC in the green Long Hau Industrial  Park.

 

 

Back to June 2018, AHK and SurTec’s management member had further discussion on the event “China plus One” in Shanghai which promotes Vietnam as an alternative location for manufacturing investment. The knowledge exchange was a part of SurTec descision now come real by the 4th production site in Vietnam.
