LHC Study Encouragement Society gives the study encouragement scholarship to students
Attending the program, there is Mr. Doan Hong Dung – General Director Long Hau Corporation; representative of the Management Board of industrial parks in Long An Province and leaders of districts and locals. In addition, the program had the support from Golden Pig Joint Stock Company, one of the companies operating in Long Hau Industrial Park, with five scholarships, each worth 1 million dong.
LHC Study Encouragement Fund was established in June of 2007, aiming for giving scholarships and educational equipment to pupils and students whose families are in difficulties in Can Giuoc, Long An Province. With the support from the Department of Education and Training of Long An Province, as well as the help from local leaders and managing boards of schools, up to now, the LHC scholarship fund has been awarded 516 scholarships worth up to 511 million dong.
Long Hau is one of the poorest communes in Long An Province. This is the area which has been submerged, acidic, and most infected people have made a living in the career of sewing leaves together. Students, young generation, are the big hope for this poor region. Therefore, Long Hau Corporation would like to share this responsibility with community and society.
LHC Scholarship Fund also hopes the program "Accompanied with the Dreams" will continue to receive the supports from other departments and organizations, the generosity from partners and investors, for growing and sharing with poor and difficult lives, giving more educational opportunities and chances to reach dreams to students in the new school year.
