AMCHAM SUPPLIER DAY 2019
07:00 AM - 07:00 PM, Wednesday 16th of October 2019
Content
AmCham Supplier Day 2019 in Ho Chi Minh City is organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Ho Chi Minh City in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). It aims to facilitate supplier-buyer relationships between Vietnamese and foreign firms and integrate small and medium-sized businesses into global supply chains.
The event will be an excellent opportunity for your company to display your products and services as well as meet other manufacturers and suppliers to establish a business relationship and expand your network.
In the wake of U.S.-China trade and tariff wars, multinational corporations have intensified efforts to diversify their supply chains and decrease reliance on China. The ASEAN region generally, and Vietnam specifically, are major targets for investment and expansion. Vietnam’s dynamic economic growth; openness to foreign investment; globally integrated economy; and young, relatively affordable, tech-savvy workforce make it an attractive destination for investment and production shifts.
Opportunities abound, but so do capacity constraints — from infrastructure to labor and financing. Yet Vietnam and Vietnamese SMEs may become major beneficiaries of these supply chain shifts — if they can attain global quality and compliance standards.
AmCham Supplier Day 2019 is organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Ho Chi Minh City in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Link SME project. An initiative of AmCham Vietnam’s Manufacturing Committee, AmCham Supplier Day supports partnerships between Vietnamese and foreign firms, and integration of small and medium-sized businesses into Vietnamese and global supply chains.
Given increased global focus on Vietnam, AmCham Supplier Day 2019 is a key opportunity for large multinational corporations together with potential suppliers and service providers in Vietnam to exhibit their products and explore, establish, and expand supply chain business partnerships.
AmCham Supplier Day 2019 will also feature an opportunity to learn from interactive discussions with experts about the effect of the U.S.-China trade war on Vietnamese supply chains; trends, constraints and solutions in Vietnamese supply chains; and success stories in local supply chain partnerships.
