Avery Dennison Factory Grand Opening In Long Hau Industrial Park

According to Avery Dennison, the factory will supply retail branding information solutions on labeling to meet with the increasing requirements of world-wide famous brands.

The factory is equipped with premium, unique and exclusive technology of Avery Dennison including: Component Weaving Technology, is the second factory worldwide, and the first factory in Asia of Avery Dennison to be equipped this technology after its Italian factory.

The factory currently have 1,200 staff and workers.

Since 2003, Avery Dennison RBIS have invested in Vietnam 40 million USD. Avery Dennison RBIS opened the first factory in Vietnam on 2003 in Binh Duong Province, and opened its distribution center in HCMC in July 2015.

Mr. Deon Stander, Vice Chairman and General Director of Avery Dennison RBIS said he was excited and delightful with opportunities for Vietnam apparel and footwear industry – the industry expected to have significant positive growth once TPP coming into effect. The investment on this new factory is a commitment of the group toward the development of Vietnam apparel and footwear industry. The factory in Long An will help the group in expanding its production capacity on labeling, hence more effectively meet with market demand of international brand and retailers.

Together with the expansion of Avery Dennison in Vietnam, the country also witness the expansion as well as new investment of other weaving, apparel and textile, accessories for garment and textile corporations coming from Korea, Taiwan, China to prepare for the taking of advantages when TPP is valid.

The Factory Grand Opening Ceremony have the attendance of Mr. Dean Scarborough – Chairman and CEO of Avery Dennison Group, Ms. Amme Hill – Senior Vice Chairman and Human Resource Director of Avery Dennison Group, Mr. Deon Stander – Vice Chairman and General Director of Avery Denison RBIS, Mr. Rishi Pardal – Vice Chairman and General Director of Avery Dennison RBIS North Asia, and Ms. Nguyen Cuu Thanh Chau – GD of Avery Dennison RBIS South East Asia. Ms Truong Thi Thu Ha – Vice Chair of Light Industry Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade also attend the event. Honor guests were invited for factory tour after the Ceremony.
