Workshop on labor code and practical experiences in labor relations for business

The workshop "Things to know about labor code & practical experiences from the Trade Union of Industrial Zones of Long An Province" took place at the office of Long Hau Corporation on August 11. The event attracted nearly 50 representatives, including human resource managers, and trade union leaders of enterprises operating in Long Hau Industrial Park came to attend and share. 
 
During the working process, it is inevitable that conflicts or disputes between the businesses and their employees lead to many cases affecting the rights of employees and the reputation of the businesses. How could businesses prevent this situation?
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy - Vice President of the Trade Union of Industrial Zones of Long An province, and Lawyer Ms. Dinh Thi Quynh Nhu shared their experiences in solving these issues.

Understand and apply regulations in labor relations
 
In the beginning, Ms. Dinh Thi Quynh Nhu shared an overview of knowledge and general characteristics of labor relations. In which, documents and agreements are established between employees and businesses such as labor contracts, probationary contracts, confidentiality agreements, etc. The terms must ensure the minimum interests of employees according to the provisions of law, provisions of laws and regulations, and general agreements developed by businesses.
 
Businesses get an overview of knowledge and characteristics of labor relations.
 

Ms. Quynh Nhu pointed out some common causes and disputes as well as the sequence of steps to resolve them in accordance with regulations.
 
Labor relations practice: Improving connections
 
Sharing experiences in consulting and resolving labor disputes, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy - Vice President of the Trade Union of Industrial Zones in Long An province analyzed the causes and offered solutions to stabilize labor relations in businesses, incredibly labor-intensive businesses. According to her, the most important thing is caring and finding a common voice between businesses and their employees, aiming to improve the working environment, and ensuring the harmony of interests of both sides.
 
Ms. Thanh Thuy shared her experiences in consulting and resolving labor disputes through some practical cases.

Also at the workshop, businesses discussed the issue of unpaid leave, temporary suspension of labor contracts due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, settlement of workers leaving, building overtime mechanisms, as well as enhancing the role of the Trade Union in consulting and sharing with employees and businesses.
